There are many discussions lately about sugar intake. Unfortunately with processed foods most people don’t even realize how much sugar they intake per day. For example a 12-oz can of soda on average has 35 grams of sugar! It is difficult to think of sugar in grams ~ heres a tip one teaspoon of granulated sugar is about 4.2 grams thus if your soda has 42grams of sugar / divide by 4.2 = 10 teaspoons of sugar!! Yikes!
My recommendation :
Cut out High Fructose Corn Syrup – even check your bread – if it can sit out for more than a week and not go bad its likely that your bread has corn syrup for preservatives…
be savvy and don’t buy products that list high fructose corn syrup in the ingredients, especially the first 3!
